Michael

Many people may have already seen the Michael Biopic. Or at least heard of it. And the trend it has set, becoming almost like a Trend of trends, proving again beyond all doubt why he is known as the King of Pop.

The Michael movie has us reminiscing about Michael Jackson, the King of Pop who burst unto the scene while only a 5-year-old in the 60’s. How he had a stern Father who discovered all his children could sing and therefore made them his lifeline to unparalleled success, being strict to a point where he turned abusive as a parent – even reported sexual abuse to all his three daughters. This might have potentially been the inspiration to his hit song “Smooth Criminal” and the popular lines “Annie are you okay, are you okay Annie?”

Michael was a great many things. He was a lover of children, reportedly videoed to have quoted the Bible saying; “Jesus asked to let the little children come to him.” He confessed the difficult childhood he had had as a result of being worked continuously without any break, a childhood full of pain and trauma, but at least he became a millionaire and his estate keeps grossing billions in dollars. He dated some of the most beautiful women ever to grace the earth including: Diana ross, married Elvis Presley’s daughter Lisa Marie Presley, had children by surrogate and left them both Motherless and Fatherless after he died.

In his later years, he acquired the publishing rights to all his records causing discontent among some of America’s biggest record labels. Leading to Child Molestation accusations which have never been successfully proven against him in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Some say the man endured hate, from inside his own family (namely one or more of his brothers),  external hate (including Eminem and some big record labels), some public hate from jealousy or envy or both. And finally he got overdosed with propofol, a powerful anaesthetic used for sedation. By his personal doctor leading to his death in June 2009.

Now the big question is: in your life, would you for all the money in the world want to be a Michael Jackson?

Have you seen the Michael movie yet? How did Jaafar do with his acting debut therein? Also, what’s your favourite Michael Jackson hit? Mine is certainly Smooth Criminal. Or no, I can’t decide between that and Speechless.
